If this sneaker doesn’t make you feel good on sight, the story behind it will. It’s called the Nike SB Dunk High ‘Doernbecher’ and it was designed by 10-year-old, Finnigan Mooney. Doernbecher is a children’s hospital in Portland, Oregon – ranked among the nations best. It’s the place where Finnigan Mooney crushed 13 heart surgeries and lived to tell the tale; it’s easy to see why he chose an illustration of a heart and the words ‘THUMP THUMP’ as a part of the design. The sneaker is going to be released on November 30th 2012 and will be available for $115 USD.
