Air Jordan Celebrates the 23-Year Time Gap with Retro 5’s

Air Jordan 5 Retro White/Fire Red & Black

The Jordan culture continues to celebrate as the Retro IV’s make their not-so-long awaited return to the market…

The Air Jordan 5 Retro was last seen in 2008; five years later and they’re coming back again. It’s been 23 years since the original 5’s were first released and in commemoration of this special time-gap, the Jordan brand is releasing this shoe for the third, and most certainly NOT last, time.

These are the shoes that Michael Jordan wore on the way to his fourth straight NBA scoring title, back in 1990. The shoe will feature leather uppers with translucent mesh panels, an icy blue translucent outsole and a reflective 3M tongue.

Air Jordan 5 Retro White/Fire Red & Black ($160 USD) from Nike – available January 26, 2013
