Grenson is known for adding contemporary twists to their footwear line. They’re the ones that brought the world’s attention to the contrast sole on a classic piece of footwear. Just because they can think outside of the box doesn’t mean they can’t go back to their roots and create a more subtle and classic piece of footwear. The Grenson Curt Gibson shoe is a perfect example of this.
Allows you to cover a lot of ground in the fashion sense…you can’t go wrong.
This is essentially a low-cut derby boot; there are no additive perforations or tones, just a simple looking shoe from one of Britain’s most celebrated footwear manufacturers.
Seeing as the silhouette resembles a Red Wing Heritage boot (in low-cut form), this shoe allows you to cover a lot of ground in the fashion sense. Wear them with a pair of thick wool socks and cuffed jeans for the winter or go sockless in shorts for the summer. You can’t go wrong.
The shoe is made from premium calf leather uppers and sits on a natural leather sole – it’s complimented by Grenson’s standard stacked heel. The laces offer slight shine due to being waxed and while the entire shoe is very clean the leather insole offers embossed detailing for contrast. The shoe comes in tan and black, available here.
