The art form of colorization, adding color to black & white, sepia or monochrome images, has been more frequent as of late. This 20th century skill has evolved with the invention of Photoshop; and although it isn’t as simple as a click of a button we are getting more colorization artists each day.

Not all artists are created equal.

We shouldn’t take this skill for granted. Just because there are more artists, doesn’t mean they can all do the art well. To do this job well requires the right eye, the right tone and the correct imagination. Once all three are present, a vintage photo is given life.
